You know House is amazing. I know House is amazing. I don’t think I can even describe why House is so amazing. The humor? The drugs? The romance? The cane? Maybe it’s because my Dad likes to claim that he was the REAL inspiration for the character of House. I don’t know, but judging by the Primetime Emmy nominations this year, everyone knows that House is amazing. House was nominated in 4 categories, including the big ones (series, lead actor, directing). Below is a complete list:

Why is House so popular in Spain?

Hugh Laurie made an interesting comment about the show’s popularity in Spain. He said:
“My TV show HOUSE is very, very, very big in Spain. The Spaniards are nutty about it. There were gaggles of shouting fans. That’s why I had a bodyguard. HOUSE hasn’t made much on an impression on British television so I am able to move about in my own country unhindered.”
If house was a flop in the US and huge over there, I’d be curious to know why. However, since House is quite popular over here as well, the answer is pretty simple — it’s a great show.

I read this blog by this girl who is an aspiring TV writer. She recently revealed the beginning script/character descriptions of some TV shows. She happened to have one regarding “House”. Here it is:
GREG HOUSE, also 38, brilliant but scarred, wields the truth like a sword – and isn’t afraid to cut you. He walks with a cane and pain (the latter he hides, the former he wishes he could). He speaks and thinks quickly – and doesn’t wait for others to catch up. Wilson is his best friend, his only friend – though you’d be hard pressed to describe even this relationship as friendly. As House pops a pill in his mouth (something he does frequently)…
